Evaluation - Question 1
Q1.) In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
In our opening sequence we used many different conventions of a typical opening sequence. One convention we have used is the hiding of the characters identities. This is shown in an actual opening sequences such as the one bellow which is from 'Brick.'
But this isn't the only real film that uses the hiding of identity it is also used in the opening sequence of 'Memento.'
as you can see this is a typical convention of an opening sequence to a film, and as you can see we used this a couple of times during our opening sequence.
This we thought was effective because if we show the identity of the people to early on if this was a real film most people would get bored and walk out within the first part of our film.
